Still haven’t closed the door on any of my thousands of options for the next car (except maybe the allroad — sorry jkm). But man, there are some crazy prices out there. I’m still interested in a 1981 Audi 4000 coupe, but that dead-end search pulled me into looking at 280Cs and 635/3csi(s). But wow, people want serious cash for these.

Consider used prices of other vehicles I’m looking at: first-gen Tacomas and T100s, SC400s, old Celica GT-Ss, and other stuff I don’t remember, and you see that I have an annoying taste in vehicles.

I think the prices are pretty fair, all those look to be in good condition, and the old 6 series are not exactly common anymore. yes expensive for a random 80s car, but not for what you are getting
